Development Timeline
Apps for Good Competition
On the 17th June, we travelled to the Barbican, where we pitched our app idea to a panel of experts and partook in an open “marketplace” session. We then later learned we had won.
Launch Event
Having been made winners of the productivity category we attended the launch event the following day, where we meet our developers and talked through our app design and features with them.
Design and Logo
Soon after, the design team came up with our app logo and a wireframe of all the app’s screens.
Notable Betas
Beta development lasted about a month, implementing more design elements, or features with each release.
Marketing
As the date of our launch drew ever closer, we held a marketing meeting with some experts from our sponsors, SAP, who talked us through the basics of branding and the power of social media to reach out to our audience and build up hype.
User Testing
With the Beta phase of the app creation over, we turned to QA to iron out any bugs and ensure our target audience enjoyed using the app.
Launch
Our Launch date is planned to be 4th February, at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, where will unveil our app to a crowd of experts along with journalists from the national press.
